WHISPERS BEHIND HIS EYES

CHAPTER TWO

"Ryan, aren't you guys coming to watch the scholarship audition?" Chloe asked after she caught them climbing the stairs

"no" Wyatt said

"hold up, I'm coming with you" Ryan said as he looked at his friends

" I thought you wanted to go to class" Dylan asked but Ryan didn't reply, giving his usual cold vibe

" have you forgotten the girl he saw? he's probably going back because of her" Dylan said and they both laughed

"wait for us Ryan" they called after him but he didn't wait so they followed

"I want to get something from the class" Chloe said and Ryan nodded

"go on" he said and she left while he entered the hall and sat at the far back with his friends.

Chloe entered the classroom and walked gently to Nathan who was studying and pressing his phone

"hi, aren't you taking a break?" she asked as she sat before him

"I'm busy" he replied without raising his head.

Nathan was the school's top student and also the head the perfect. He's also the proprietor's only child and Chloe has had a crush on him for a long time but he wasn't interested in a relationship.

"don't you get tired of reading? and your pho..." she said and tried to collect his phone but he snatched it with a scornful look. Chloe froze, surprised

" I'm sorry..." she apologized and quickly left while he watched her

Hazel climbed on the stage with her ballerina clothes and the noises erupted immediately, she was a 10 and made Ryan smile in his seat as he watched her from far.

"silence everyone or I'll send you all out" the coordinating teacher warned but they still murmured underneath.

" where's your partner Hazel?" the coordinating teacher asked and she looked surprised

" I didn't know I'll be needing a partner" she said

"wow, that means you can dance it alone right?" she asked but Hazel wasn't sure so she nodded.

Hazel started dancing but it wasn't making sense

"oh no, she's gonna fail at this rate" Dylan said

"yeah, she needs a partner" Wyatt agreed while Ryan watched her. He suddenly stood up and removed his shoes, tie and suit as he rushed to the stage

Ryan grabbed her by her waist and they started dancing while she was still confused

"focus" he said with a stern look, not even sparing her a glance. Murmurs filled the hall as they danced while his friends laughed

"what's he touching? do they hold there too?" Wyatt asked as Ryan held her under thighs

"yeah, they hold there sometimes" Dylan agreed sarcastically and the dance finally ended.

The hall was filled with claps and cheers while Ryan still held her hand

"Ryan" a judge called and he suddenly dropped her, leaving her to an heavy thud. He walked back to his seat and picked his stuffs, leaving his friends astonished as they teased.
