ELEANOR POV It is two weeks since I knew Banks, and three days since I last saw him. He is alive, and the contract is still on. I know this because he texted me this morning while I was preparing for work. **BANKS:** Work? I knew it meant: *Why am I off to work?* **Me:** My replacement hasn't arrived. He does not reply, and sincerely, I am used to it. He only chats and comment when it's to order. Well, sometimes, he indulges in my chats but I've been careful since he hung up on me when I told him to f**k me when I am asleep. It's three pm, and as usual, I've no replacement. Yet. At this rate, I doubt I'll get any replacement. Johnny have make it his duty to reject every candidate that comes for an interview: * "Short retail experience." * "Can't recognize correct perfume notes." * "Too lazy." * "Doesn't stand or speak in ways that convince clients." It is always too much of this or that, and I am actually exhausted. Thank goodness Banks hasn't been around. Apparently, he is in Luxembourg for a hotel-chain merging. My shift ends now, and I spend the minutes it takes to get to Vandiver debating between three options: 1. **Visiting the dermatologist** for my skin and body. It is not like I am unpretty; it is just that I have acne breakouts and a few cellulites. There is money now, and I can become prettier. 2. **A driving lesson.** This should be a normal skill everyone has, but I don’t. I have been too occupied with work and surviving to reason it out, and I had no money. 3. **A dancing class.** Banks has quite a few ways to bend my body. I don't even know how I bend to those degrees, but I want to bend more. And as a "thank you," I want to dance for him. Owner of hotels and clubs must be used to strippers and dancers; I want to perform for him. "Miss Eleanor," Vandiver greets. "Mr. Van," I reply, and he chuckles, opening the car door for me. "To Rancolm skin Hub, please," I tell him when he takes the driver position and he looks back at me. Eyebrows quirked up. "Mr. Banks said to drive you home," he says, a stern look matched on his face. It is quite unsettling. Sometimes I feel he hates me. He never said anything or acted like it, in fact, we do have few conversations... I think they can be called monologue but he does reply me but still, there are times, like now, where he looks on the edge of throwing me out of the car. "That’s because I didn't think he needs to know I'm visiting a dermatologist," I reply, fastening my seatbelt. He is still looking, so, I bring up my phone and call Banks. As usual, it goes to voicemail. "Voicemail" I tell Vandiver, shaking my phone at his face for him to see Banks name. "I'll take you home" He says and I undo my seatbelt. "Never mind" He looks back again "Since he’s unreachable, I will find my way over there myself," I say, "I don't think it's right to use you for my personal mission" I add, stepping out of the car. "Miss Eleanor" His voice warns but I'm already getting to the road. I should order a ride, but I might have to wait around, so I walk out. "Please get in, Miss Eleanor," Vandiver pleads behind me, clearly thinking I am being a spoilt brat. I walk, and luckily, one of our clients sees me right outside the door. "Need a ride?" he questions. I grin. "Yes, thank you." I head toward him but get held back. "Miss Eleanor," Van says with the softest smile. "Mr. Van, I'll be fine," I say, getting away from him and into the car. The ride to the hub is quite fast; Vandiver’s driving is far better than this. I thought I'll throw up with how fast he drove. "Thank you, sir," I thank the client as he drops me off. He smiles and drives away. "Miss Eleanor." I jump back at the unmistakable voice of Van. "Jesus! What the hell?" "I'm here for you." "I need to just get my skin checked," I argue. "I'll take you there, ma'am." I look at him. "I'm already there" I enunciate, pointing at the signage that read DERMATOLOGY CLINIC. "Mr. Banks told me where." He says and my body freeze up "He called you?" "Yes, ma'am." My chest tightens, and I follow Vandiver to the car.
