Settling into bed beside Anna was bliss, but she turned her back to me as soon as we got into bed, and I decided to let her be, turning to face the other side too.
After several minutes of tossing around without being able to sleep, I turned to the other side and saw her staring at me. I must have been deep in my thoughts because I didn't notice any movement.
“Can't sleep either, huh?” I asked her. She looked at me with weary eyes and nodded.
“I don't even know what's wrong. I'm exhausted, but I can't seem to be able to sleep,” she yawned and scooted closer to me.
I gently caressed her cheek, “Sorry, love. Anything I can do to help?”
“I don't think so. I just want to talk, you know? Maybe I'll just talk myself to sleep, that's if I don't bore you first.”
