Arriving at Belfast airport, Rafe orders a taxi at once, and without delay, he arranges a ride to the nearest used car salon. He examines the cars with an expert’s eye, and within thirty minutes, using the fake papers, he buys the apparently most trustworthy Land Rover. He pays with cash and tries to keep communication with the shop assistant to the minimum. It takes an hour to get to the house near Newcastle from the airport, but as we are approaching it, my nervousness is constantly growing. Nola doesn’t know about our arrival, so I’m feeling really tense. For security reasons, Rafe didn’t allow me to inform her about our plan, but I’m not very impressed by the idea.
