DAMIAN POV. The sun hadn’t even thought about rising yet, but here I was, standing outside Mirabel’s room at exactly 4 a.m. I knocked once. No answer. I knocked again. Still nothing. Rolling my eyes, I pushed the door open. Sure enough, she was curled up in bed, dead to the world, blankets pulled up to her chin like she was hibernating for the winter. “Mirabel.” My voice was firm. Nothing. I walked over, leaning down slightly. “Mirabel, wake up.” She groaned, turning away from me and burrowing deeper into her pillow. “No.” I raised a brow. “No?” She peeked one eye open, squinting at me in pure betrayal. “It’s too early.” “It’s 4 a.m.,” I said flatly. “Exactly.” She shut her eyes again. “Too early.” I exhaled sharply. “Get up.” “No.” I crossed my arms. “You have training.”
