Find Out Everything About Her
Hayden Reagan had to squint his dark green eyes due to the intense sunlight. The chaos started as soon as his feet touched the courthouse steps reporters surrounded him, asking him questions in quick succession and demanding answers. He was momentarily blinded by flashing cameras, whose lights pierced the throng.
One reporter yelled, "Mr Reagan, tell us about your current relationship with the senator's daughter."
Another, vying for attention, questioned, "Is it true you're marrying the daughter of a senator?"
"How long has your affair lasted?" A voice spoke up behind him.
"What information about the divorce agreement can you provide?" Others added their voices.
Hayden became impatient, these inquiries weren't appropriate at this time or location, but they were typical of the press—persistent and unrelenting. Their questions came at him from all sides as he forced his way through the crowd, ignoring their cries. He thought he had escaped, but then he heard a voice in the back.
"Ms Doran! Please give us a moment. Ms Avery Doran.
The media quickly shifted their focus from Hayden to the newcomer, hayden turned to see Avery Doran.
With the same effortless elegance he had witnessed her display previously, Avery left the courthouse. Her blonde hair fell over her shoulders, catching the light with every step. She exuded sophistication in a sharp grey pinstripe suit that fit her figure flawlessly and that only she seemed to be able to pull off.
Despite the flurry of flashing cameras, she didn't rush or flinch rather, she strode through the crowd with assurance, her posture proud and straight, her gaze sweeping the sea of reporters. As she looked around at the confusion, Hayden saw a fleeting smile tug at her lips.
Avery could not be touched she appeared completely relaxed, unfazed by the questions or the scrutiny, even in the middle of this storm she commanded attention with quiet authority, and she was the centre of attention.
The reporters parted almost automatically as she walked down the courthouse steps. The questions resumed as they settled around her, but she remained silent. Unaffected by it all, she just walked she knew where she was going.
A short distance away was a Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV. She slid into the car with ease after the driver opened the door for her and closed it behind her. She gave the assembled reporters a final look as she lowered the window a few inches just before the car was ready to leave. Her smile was clear this time, reflecting satisfaction and confidence. She was in charge.
As the car drew away, Hayden stood there staring at her with his green eyes. She had a magnetic quality that he was unable to fully describe. Her smile had stuck in his head, giving him an unexpected sense of curiosity. She seemed to belong here, commanding the audience without saying a word thanks to her self-assurance and situational ease.
Laura showed up next to him, looking at her phone and then at Hayden. The vehicle had already vanished onto the streets of the city.
"Who was that?" Trying to control his curiosity, Hayden asked.
Laura answered in a cool, detached voice, "That was Avery Doran."
"Avery Doran?" Hayden's forehead wrinkled in perplexity. "What makes that name sound so familiar? Judge Simon Doran is the only Doran I am aware of.
Laura's eyes were slightly amused as she looked up from her phone. Simon Doran, judge? The one who died not long ago?
As everything fell into place, Hayden's expression changed. He said in a low, curious voice, "She's the daughter of the late Judge Simon Doran?"
Laura nodded in a tone that was almost informal. "Yes, exactly the same."
As he processed the information, Hayden attempted to piece together the significance of Avery Doran. She was the daughter of a man whose reputation had moulded the city, and she was also the daughter of a legendary judge. And now here she was—handling this tidal wave of reporters like she was a natural at it.
After a brief period of silence, he spoke, sounding more interested than before. "Tell me more about her," he insisted.
The Lincoln Navigator was waiting for them, and Laura opened the door so that Hayden could go to his next appointment. "Well," she said in a reflective tone, "she's a legendary lawyer in her own right," the founding partner of one of the best, if not the best, local law firms, Doran & Associates. As a corporate attorney, she has never lost a case. She is highly respected in the legal community.
As Hayden processed this new information, his mind was racing. That kind of woman—successful, seasoned, and connected to some of the city's most influential people. She was obviously not to be taken lightly.
Laura went on, letting out a little chuckle. However, you might find this fascinating. I have reached out to her as the lawyer to assist us in resolving the subsidiary issue.
Hayden narrowed his eyes thoughtfully. "Her? The attorney you're depending on to help us sort out this mess? "Avery Doran?" Despite his apparent scepticism, he was fascinated. He had just seen this woman deal with the media like a seasoned pro. He was beginning to understand why she might be the best option.
Laura smiled knowingly as she nodded. "Yes, exactly the same."
Hayden took a moment to process this new information. As he considered what he had just seen, his mind raced. Avery Doran was more than just a lawyer; she had the power to transform his life. She was more than just a lawyer, though. He was intrigued by something about her. Something outside his field of vision.
His voice lowered with intensity as he turned to Laura. He insisted, "Tell me everything you know about her." His voice had become focused, almost authoritative, rather than merely inquisitive.
Laura paused, obviously weighing her words. At last, she spoke in a composed tone. Not much is known about her apart from the two occasions she has previously advised our firm. She doesn't really let personal issues get in the way of her work and maintains a low profile. On the other hand, she is a formidable professional. She is well known for being an excellent strategist who can easily handle even the most challenging legal situations.
Hayden's mind was a mess as he processed this information. He enquired, "What about anything personal?" in an apparent attempt to learn more about her life outside of her legal profession.
Laura gave a shrug. She has maintained a low profile. Not much can be said. No drama, no scandals. She is well-known in the legal community for her intelligence, but not much else.
Hayden wasn't content. She must have been more than that. There was more to this woman, who had effortlessly captured his attention and had just navigated the tidal wave of reporters. She had a certain quality. Something that made him want to know everything.
Before he could enter the car, he stopped reaching for the door. His gaze remained fixed on Laura. Learn as much as you can about her. The sooner, the better.
