Elias has made it clear that she's not supposed to see him again, but if Nicholas is there and requests a meeting, surely he can't refuse. She clicks her heels together absently as she watch Nicholas talk to someone over the communication system. Nicholas walks back to the car with a tense smile. He opens the door and guides her out. "I have to go back to work, darling. Elias will drop you home when you're done, okay?" She frowns at him. She had expected him to be with them. It would be nice to talk to him too. She regrets not saying more when they were in the car together, but she had been busy sniffling and stopping her tears and he hadn't done anything beyond keep a warm hand on the back of her neck throughout the rest of the ride. "Is that okay?" he asks when she doesn't respond. "
