Chapter Nine: NuptialsIt them fifteen minutes before their knots are soft enough that they can pull out from her tight holes and she turned on her side. Her entire body aches, but in the sort of way that is completely relaxing.
She is tempted to just close her eyes and sleep for the next several years, but there are responsibilities waiting for her and a cover story that isn't going to write itself. She still needs to pick up the little sister and concoct a believable tale about why the spa overbooked. It had looked pretty empty while they were there.
She considers telling the younger girl that the masseur they had arranged for her was very bad at her job.
Someone gives her a hot cup of coffee. Her tongue burns a little and the pain jolts her awake.
