"Are you alright, Meg?" I asked Megan after she released her arms around me, and I looked at her beautiful face.
"Yeah, thanks to your grandfather, I never thought your ex and her minions would attack me again. Even though I was ready for them, I still can't deny Lauren almost made me cry." She said honestly, and I cupped her face with my hands.
"Thank you that you didn't run away from me after your confrontation with Lauren," I said, and she smiled at me.
"Why should I run away from you? I don't want to be miserable again, Ashton. You make me so happy. I can take Lauren's humiliation, but it would be harder on my part to stay away from you." She declared, and her words made me feel so happy.
