"Thank you, Ashton, but you don't need to do that. I can take care of myself." I said as he walked me out from the cafeteria while Oscar and Alice are walking behind us.
"Oh, by running away from them? Megan, they can't just do something like that to you. And please, tell me next time if they will bother you again. I know Lauren was harassing you lately, and it was because of me. And I am sorry, Meg, I wasn't there to protect you during those times. But I am telling you, I will make them pay for what they have done to you." Ashton declared, and I felt so guilty that after Lauren tore my literature assignment this morning, I planned on pushing him away.
