An uneasy silence settles over the valley.
Emily: "The moon shouldn't look like that."
Elder Rowan: "The Blood Moon has begun its rise."
Derek: "Then our time has run out."
The pack realizes the prophecy is unfolding.
Derek organizes every warrior into defensive groups.
Mason assigns scouts to the mountains and forests.
Luna Clara helps evacuate children and elderly pack members to protected shelters beneath the Alpha House.
Derek: "No one fights alone."
Mason: "Every entrance to Moon Valley is guarded."

The warriors raise their weapons and howl together in unity.
Sarah gives Emily a small silver dagger engraved with moon symbols.

Emily nods.

She decides to stand beside Derek no matter the danger.
The scouts spot dozens of rogue wolves emerging from the forest.
Marcus leads the attack.
A fierce battle erupts.
Derek shifts into his black wolf form and charges into the fight.
Emily watches from a protected position, witnessing the true strength of the Moon Valley warriors.
After an intense clash, the rogues retreat, leaving behind several mysterious black crystals.
Elder Rowan examines one of the black crystals.
It pulses with dark energy.
Elder Rowan: "These are not ordinary stones."
Victor: "I've seen them once before."
Derek: "Where?"
Victor hesitates.
Victor: "The night your parents disappeared."
Everyone falls silent.
For the first time, the Dark Alpha reveals himself openly.
He stands on the highest cliff overlooking the valley.
His red eyes meet Derek's blue eyes across the battlefield.
Dark Alpha: "Hello... Derek."
Derek: "Show yourself!"
The Dark Alpha slowly removes his hood, revealing scars across one side of his face.
Before Derek can reach him, the Dark Alpha vanishes into a cloud of black mist.
Emily touches one of the black crystals collected from the battlefield.
Instead of darkness, she sees another vision.
She witnesses Derek's mother hiding the Crystal Heart beneath the temple.
She also sees the Dark Alpha arguing with Derek's father years earlier.
Dark Alpha: "Power belongs to those strong enough to claim it."
Derek's Father: "Power without honor destroys everything."
Emily realizes the Dark Alpha knew Derek's parents personally.
As night falls, Derek gathers the pack.
The Blood Moon now shines bright red above Moon Valley.
Derek: "Tomorrow our enemy will return."
He looks at every warrior.
Derek: "Some of us may fall."
Silence fills the crowd.
Derek: "But as long as I stand... Moon Valley will never belong to darkness."
The entire pack howls in support.
Emily stands proudly beside him.
Deep underground, the Crystal Heart glows brighter than ever before.
The ancient stone door begins to slide open by itself.
A cold wind rushes through the chamber.
Two enormous glowing eyes appear within the darkness beyond the gate.
A deep voice echoes through the mountain.
Ancient Voice: "Who dares awaken the Guardian?"
The chapter ends before anyone discovers who—or what—the Guardian truly is.
As Derek looks toward the Sacred Temple, his crescent mark burns with intense pain. At the same moment, Emily's mark shines with brilliant silver light.
Far away, the Dark Alpha smiles and whispers:
