This time, Frank was the one who is feeling so sorry. He felt as if a sledgehammer has been used to shatter his heart to pieces. His wife doesn't deserve this kind of embarrassment. Helen existed on the ground floor through the staircase. Frank stood for a second unable to decide on what decision to take, whether to go and console his wife or deal with the lady at the reception. He went for the latter option; turning sharply as he approached the reception in fury. He needed to get rid of the rubbish he brought into his life with his own hands
"Beatrice" what I have done to deserve this wickedness of yours? Is it a crime to know you? Is it a crime to be your friend in the first place? Must you be the one I will marry? What is all this nonsense? Now I agreed that you must come from the pit of hell like my wife rightly said and I will never forgive you for this." Frank shouted
"Calm your nerve sweetheart, has she gone to park her belongings?" Beatrice asked expectantly. "You must be really mad!" Frank responded with so much hatred in his voice. "So that has been your mission after all? to frustrate my wife to leave? "Sorry lady. It's not working. It is so obvious that the devil sent you by himself to come and destroy my life, I rebuke you"
Beatrice stood up and walk towards Frank where he was standing. She seductively whispered into his ears, "Listen, honey, Even if you will not marry me, I will not allow that lady to stay married to you. It's either me or no one else! I will never forget what happened between us that night and I will never let you go as long as I breathe…"
"Then you don't deserve to live you Demon" Frank interrupted angrily.
"Your wish will never come through honey, just marry me and have peace in your life" Beatrice added in laughter.
Just then, the security men entered. Frank quickly beckoned to them to get rid of Beatrice. She struggled with them in a jiffy. She was bundled out of the hotel. "She screamed over her shoulder with promise. I shall be back Frank.
"May I never set my eyes on you again", he cursed under his breath.
He turned slowly and headed towards to stairs to face the wrath of his wife in their hotel room.
Frank got to the door of their hotel room but just as he was about to knock on the door, he heard the voice of his wife from within. He sensed she was talking to someone on phone. He delayed in his knocking eavesdrop a bit, just in case he might figure out the state of her mind through whoever she was discussing with at the other end.
"That must be her mum", he sighed. "Helen doesn't keep friends". His thought was interrupted by Helen's voice.
"But you assured me that he is a good guy, I believed in your words and you never gave me the impression that things would go out of hand like this. Am so heartbroken right now, I need your advice and words of comfort. So it's true that no man can ever be trusted. You know you are the only friend I can talk to right now. Please come quickly"
"Friend? Frank was surprised. "Helen doesn't have any friend that is so close that I know". He strained his ears more to listen to the conversation further. She was weeping as she talks making her voice a bit audible. He couldn't hear the voice of the person from the other end because the phone wasn't placed on the loudspeaker. A waiter entered the corridor where Frank was standing. He quickly turned and brought out his phone from his pocket pretending to be checking something on it.
The waiter murmured his greetings, while he responded quietly, not wanting his wife to be conscious of his presence at the door. Immediately the waiter got out of his sight. Frank moved closer to the door once more to listen to what his wife was saying. Some thoughts held him down. One, the fear of having to face his wife, after all, that happened, and two, the consequences that will follow after, three, the fear of leaving him for good. 'But wait for a minute" she defended me before Beatrice, she stood and fought for her marriage. But did she mean it? Oh no! Not after that i***t slapped her… he thought within himself.

Helen's voice came up again, but she was silent, the person on the other end must have to talk since. Frank thought. All because Helen had stopped speaking some minutes back.
You told me this man has a good heart, you told me he'll never hurt me and that I'll be safe with him, that he's not a cheat. How come I am experiencing this at an early stage of my marriage? Is it not too early? She demanded.
