IRINA POV
"Are you sure about this Irina?" My best friend Coreen keep asking me.
"I do not have a choice Coreen. I need to do this. You know how much I hate this man but I need him." I just hope that he will keep his words.
"Alright. Just tell me if you need me there. If only I could help you, you wouldn't have to come to that man." I know how much she wanted to help me and her godchild. That is why we are so lucky to have her in our life.
"Don't worry this will be the last time that I will go to that man. I just need to do this." I reassured her.
She helps me prepare the dress that I will be wearing for the party. Since I have been in the company, I have never attended any party. This will be the first time. And I hope this will be the last time.
I wear red shining sleeveless dress matched it high heels and red lipstick. Since my job tonight is to make everyone believe that I am seducing Andrew. Andrew is the reason that I am attending this party. This is what he is asking for in exchange for the help I am asking for.
His father is the greatest heart surgeon in the whole country. I need his help to get his father back to the country so that he can perform the surgery on Dylon. There is only a little time left. I can't afford to lose Dylon. He is the one who gives me strength to fight every day.
When I arrived at the venue, I immediately got the attention of the people.
"Is that Ms. Irina?" I heard one of the first to see me ask.
"Ms. Irina of Uprise Tech Company? Isn't she attending this kind of party?" whispers of those I passed
"Yes it is. It's Ms. Irina." One added.
"She's really beautiful." said a man.
"I heard that it is very good at programming.
"Yes. You're right there. It's one of the best programmers in the country. And it's with the Uprise Tech Company.
They said too much more. I just continued walking.
"Ms. Irina of Uprise Tech Company?" asked a man who approached me.
"Yes sir. Good evening." I greeted the man.
"It is nice to finally meet you, beautiful lady." greetings from a man who I think is about my age.
"It's good that you came Ms. Irina. You don't like this kind of event, don't you?" a woman asked me. I think it's from our rival company.
"It's not like that Ms. Ramos. I'm just doing a lot." I said as I looked for Andrew. So that this is over and I can go home.
I saw Andrew and he was heading to the front seat. He really wants a lot of people to see what he wants me to do.
"Please excuse me." I say goodbye to them. It looks like they are still talking about something.
I immediately went to where Andrew was. The man also noticed that I was heading towards him. It immediately looked at me.
"Looks like a lot of people are interested in you Ms. Irina." he said when I got close to him.
"Can we get this over with. Just make sure you keep your promise Andrew." I threatened him.
"Is that really the only reason why you agreed to do this? Don't forget my other offer to you Irina. Not only will you be able to return to my company, but an even better position awaits you." it's still convincing that I will never accept it. If I didn't really need his help, I would never go near this man that I hate the most.
"Don't compare me to your mistress Andrew. I am not greedy and especially I'm not taken in by your useless words." I'm really sick of this guy.
"Hmmm. Let's see if you can uphold your principles Irina." he challenges me
I was about to leave when he suddenly spoke.
"I talked to Dad last night about your son's condition." I immediately looked at him.
He got my full attention with what he said. This is really the only reason why I am here.
"So if you don't want your coming here to be a waste of time, do what you have to do." this guy seems to like being able to control me.
I immediately approached the man who was now sitting. I didn't hesitate to sit on his lap.
I immediately heard murmurs from those around us.
"Who is that girl? Isn't that Mr. Andrew?" I heard one say.
"OMG. Look at that." pointing me and Andrew.
So this is what you want Andrew.
"Who is that girl? She has a thick face." someone whispered
"It's been said and that's exactly how that woman behaves. Isn't she ashamed that Sir Andrew's wife is here." commented the one on our left.
"So, the news that Ms. Irina was flirting with Sir Andrew is true." more and more people whispering.
"You got what you wanted. Your wife saw me flirting with you. Now it's your turn to keep your promise." I whispered to Andrew to end this show.
I stood up from sitting on Andrew's lap. I was about to leave when suddenly someone pulled me.
I looked at who it was and saw the woman I hated. This is Andrew's treacherous and sly assistant.
"Do you look that thick Irina?" she told me and she thought that what she said was not for herself.
"Really Sandra? Aren't you ashamed of yourself? It really came from you. You act really well. I am really impressed with you." I comment that made her head even hotter.
She poured the wine she was holding on me.
I just laughed at her for her act. She seems to be Andrew's wife not just an assistant.
I saw Elena, Andrew's wife on the side and she didn't seem to care about what was happening.
"Are you really an assistant or a mistress? Why are you angry?" I pissed her even more.
She took some more wine to pour on me. I was ready for it but I didn't feel anything touching my skin.
I opened my closed eyes and saw the man I thought I would never see again.
