I heard sound of footsteps slowly approaching.
The dark figure slowly approached the chair I was tied to.
As he got close, I saw the devilish smile in his face and a flash of accomplishment in his eyes.
"You were so easy to get," he sneered, his eyes gleaming with triumph. "I can't believe how naive you were, walking right into my trap."
I trembled, my heart racing with fear. "P-please," I stuttered, trying to keep my voice steady. "Just let me go."
He laughed, the sound cold and mirthless. "Oh, no. You're mine now. And soon, you'll be begging for mercy."
I shook my head, trying to clear the fog from my mind. "N-no," I whispered, my eyes filling with tears. "This can't be happening."
He leaned in closer, his breath cold against my skin. "But it is happening," he hissed. "And there's nothing you can do to stop it."
"What do you want from me?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
He smiled, his eyes gleaming with triumph. "Oh, you're going to be a pawn in my game, little one," he said. "You see, I have a plan to get Akira to do my bidding. And you're the key to it all."
I shook my head, confusion and fear warring inside me. "What are you talking about?"
He leaned in closer, his voice taking on a conspiratorial tone. "I've been trying to get Akira to join me for a long time now. But he's stubborn, refuses to see the power that I can offer him. But with you by my side, I think he'll be more willing to listen."
I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized what he was planning. "You're going to use me as leverage," I said, my voice flat.
He nodded, his smile growing wider. "Exactly. And once Akira is under my control, nothing will be able to stop me. I'll be the most powerful being in the supernatural world."
The stranger stood there, his eyes fixed on me with a mix of sadness and guilt. Valthrun turned to leave, but not before casting a triumphant glance my way.
As soon as Valthrun was gone, the stranger's demeanor changed. His shoulders slumped, and his eyes filled with regret.
"I'm so sorry," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
"I wouldn't once even habour the thought of going against Akira my alpha. But Valthrun... he took my family. My mate, my children. He's holding them hostage, forcing me to do his bidding."
I felt a surge of sympathy for the stranger, despite the fact that he had just helped Valthrun capture me.
"Why are you telling me this?" I asked, my voice softening.
He took a step closer, his eyes pleading. "Because I want you to know that I'm not a traitor by choice. I'm doing this to keep my family safe. And I'll do whatever it takes to protect them, even if it means betraying Akira."
I saw the pain in his eyes, the conflict that was tearing him apart. And in that moment, I realized that we were both pawns in Valthrun's game, forced to play roles we didn't want to play.
"I haven't seen you among the pack and you said Akira was your alpha?" I asked with a suspicious look.
"I used to be among the pack long before you came, I know Akira will come for you and even go to the extend of killing his own brother too and I know my life is in danger if he finds out I'm involved but it's the only thing I can do to save my family" he explained.
what does he mean by killing his own brother? was....... valthrun....? how could it be?
"I have to go now, here eat this, this is the least I can do for you now" he said leaving a bowl in front of me before he turned to leave.
It was then I realized I hadn't been scared all because the stranger had been there with me but now leaving me alone in this darkness, it was really scary.
I just pray Akira finds out soon about my missing and I promise I will never wander off into the forest again, please Akira, come find me.
