I enjoy walking in the park. the stress that builds up in my bones tends to disappear when I do. there's just something about seeing green that brings a refreshing feeling in my veins. I gaze around, relieved to know that the sun was slowly setting. I'm just waiting for that certain hour to go home. In the meantime, I see families calling for their children- telling them it was time to go home. although reluctant, they listen to their mother. an elderly couple walks by and then greets me with a humble smile. I return one as well, making them pass first. I grab a lollipop from my pocket and put it in my mouth. the flavor of lemon bursts inside my tongue. I think I have a rat on my tail. Ten minutes have passed since I’ve left the shop. And in those ten minutes, there was someone behind me.
