I’ve been on the phone for the last twenty minutes, talking to my parents.
Exactly six days has passed. And about an hour ago, I was discharged from the hospital.

I end the call just as the car comes to a halt. Cai ruffles his brown hair and opens the door for me. Fae dumps her phone inside her bag and then steps out of the car.
She extends her arms upwards, stretching until she’s tip toeing.
“I swear to god I was about to have a cramp back there.”
