When Fenris came back, I had been sitting, shivering on the stone steps of an old, cold, and dilapidated house on a more run-down corner of the pack’s central grounds on that full moon night. Six months had passed since my 16th birthday, and winter this year was warmer than usual. Because of this, there were more puddles than snow piles in the rickety grounds of my “safe house,” and for some reason, I had less trouble with hunger and thirst compared to the past couple of years.
