Chap 12 the difference between human court and the council- we can kill first ask question later.

Beast

The cry of the children gutts me long after they are put to bed. To hear the sorrow for their Alpha...no child should know that sorrow. My wolf Lobar wants to kill all the fuckers who hurt Luna. Hurt mate.

I had to keep Lobar so in check that he has not gone for a run in a week. I stick close to Kitten just to appease Lobar. The council arrives tomorrow.

We can't have her by human laws for another week after that. We better do another mate run soon. I know Teagan will keep Lobar in check. Although it is getting hard for all of us.

I stay busy with the littles if I can't be with Bessa. Alley cat is a handful with the freedom she has now. I can't imagine what it was like before. The best part about working with the littles is that I hear all the stories. Bad part is I hear all the stories.

Today is a day I have to bribe Alley to stop the stories. Never knew I had so many tears to cry. The guys would probably call me the kitten crin' for it's mama.

I pass Alley and the other littles back to their teacher and head out for rounds.

I am not far from the house when I hear the most wonderful yiping ever. My calico looking mate joins me for a run. Her coloring is just one more reason I call her kitten. Her nails will come out If anyone screws with her pack. If any of her pups get out of line, she is the first to correct them.

I have taken to showing Kainda how to hunt. She was never really shown much so what she does get is easy kills. We take down a dose while we are out. Just a light snack for now. We will catch another later on for dinner to share.

We chase each other playing tag. We body slam each other as we make our way around guards laughing through the link. At one of the posts Lobar shows Kainda how to stalk and pounce and it totally reminds me of "lion king" when Simba pounces on Zazu. The guard doesn't think it's funny. Lobar gives him a stern look and tells him no it's not funny. He should be watching all sides of his post. Not just the one the enemy is probably coming from.

A not so wolfish snort comes from Mate. Who was trying to hold it back. Lobar shakes his head at her.

As kainda and Lobar both walk further on, they lull their tongues out in a fashion of laughing. The rounds prove entertaining, taking Kainda with. We also were successful in checking the border. Nothing else happened.

We took down a deer and took it home. I had an Omega dress it and take it to Mouse to cook it up. We get showers in our respective bathrooms and go to collect the kids from training. Hey even teachers get a day off. So I get good stories until after dinner.

We gathered in the fourth floor dining room to find that Mouse didn't skimp on the sides. You would think it was turkey day all over again. We eat until bellies are full and eyes are drooping.

Tomorrow will be the start of hell for these kids. They kids all fall asleep watching Disney movies. So we pull some blankets over them and let them sleep where they landed.

Bessa looks a little lost as to what to do until Mouse walks up to her and kisses her cheek.

"If you want to stay here with them that is fine, little one. We can stay with you or we can take you to your room. it is ok no matter what you want to do. You will ALWAYS have a choice. Your thoughts will always matter."

Mouse

After I tell my little one that she has a choice and that she matters. She throws her arms around me so hard, I about get knocked over. Then I hear the sniffles. All I can do is hold her. So I sit her down in my lap and lean against the arm rest. Angel covers us in a blanket then stretches out on a different couch. Beast and Teagan shift to wolves and curls up with the kids.

Sampson

I wake to the smell of baby feet. I think there might be a toe in my nose too. Yep, it is little Tosh's big toe. I give her foot a good lick. Sends the foot getting tucked under, butt in the air and giggles in her sleep.

I give a wolfish laugh in return. look up to see who else is up. Peanut's eyes are open with her thumb in her mouth, watching me. She is laying on Mouse's chest with his arms holding her in place. Beast is watching her from the floor near her. Angel is in the kitchen working on things. M&M are helping in the kitchen too. C had everyone else,who is up, watching cartoons on low volume.

Someone has dropped off some shorts for Beast and I. So, I get changed quickly slipping the basketball shorts on.

Teagan

I give Peanut a kiss on the head and ruffle Mouse's hair. Waking him up.

Mouse looks down at Peanut and gets a s**t eating grin. He kisses her head and she stays watching tv. I know she will be ok. I am just worried what has her in this state. She has never been little long enough for anyone to catch it. If it wasn't for the body I would thing she is a toddler much like Alley. Mouse strokes her back.

"Older kids help younger ones get ready. Marie will meet the girls in their room. I will be around to check on the boys." I hand out directions.

*Mouse, you take care of Peanut. Give her what we can for time. But we need Bessa, before the council is due to arrive.*

"By the way. You guys and girls get to skip school on Alpha's order." A chorus of cheers go up.

Mouse lifts Peanut to his hips, her head on his shoulder, and walks down the hall to her room.

An hour later and even breakfast is done. Mac, Ashley and Tess are doing the dishes. All of the kids are looking good. The boys in slacks and button down. Girls in dresses or skirts with leggings. The guys and I take turns so someone is always with the kids.

I leave M&M in charge since normally they would be if they were by themselves. I give them the direct line to my office and Beast's cell number. He will be able to get away fast if needed. He is Gamma so his first priority is Luna.

I head to the kitchen to speak with Mouse's second Marie. I check to see that everything is in order. The Council is on the third floor with the kids. We have it planned that that dining room will act as the conference room during the third stay and that they have two Omegas assigned to them. She nods in agreement.

"Stacy and Ryan are on that floor. My self and Laura are assigned to You, Luna and the other three." She confirms.

"M&M are in charge of the kids right now. Just check they don't need anything. If Luna trusts them as Beta and Gamma then I do too."

I head for my office to meet up with my brother.

Sometimes I forget they know more than the average pup. They have had to run the Orphan pack.

Much like me and the guys. Before Tiernan, "Angel" , and I took over we were part of a special operation team. Little did we know that brotherhood landed us with two of our mates. We got close and we got lethal. We went in when the seals couldn't and the green beret was hesitant. We still go once in a while when the King Alpha and queen Luna ask us to take out some trash. We were young when we started training for the jobs.

"So what's the plan?" Angel asks when I get in.

"Beast has the door. He will bring them here for a bit. Ryan will take their gear to their rooms. They will have their choice of where to take their meals. Tonight they will settle in. They will probably start inquiries tomorrow. Hopefully Bessa is up to meeting with them. It should be her leading this, because it is her pack."

"Sounds...sound. That is why you are the boss. I can execute plans. But you plan them out."

We get back to working on finding the families of the kids or someone to take them as theirs. Several families in my pack are willing. They just want to be sure that the kids don't have any blood relations that we know of/find.

It is around noon when there is a knock on the door.

"The council to see you Alpha." Beast pops his head in.

I nod and rise. Angel stands also. We make introductions and small talk. Stacy and Marie bring lunch in and mention that Luna will be down shortly.

Just as they are leaving, another knock and Bessa enters.

"Alpha Bessa let me introduce the Council. Council, this is the Alpha of the Orphan pack that is staying with us currently." I pull her close to my side and seat her between Angel and I.

"Two packs under one roof. How is that working out?" One of the council members asks.

I nod to Bessa and place my hand on her shoulder.

"It is working well, Sir. The kids are attending school with the Orion pack. They are also training with the other kids. We do have dinner as individual packs. We also observe our own nightly customs. We are discussing the idea of having dinner once or twice a week, for now, with both packs. Sir."

"Why are you here and not with the pack you were assigned to?"

She blushes and looks at me. I move my hand into hers giving it a squeeze. She thinks about it for a second. Then pulls her hand from mine and places both hands in front of the council member.

"These are just one example you will see during your stay. I got these for mistakes that never existed. I know they didn't exist because I trained my pack to not make mistakes. To check and triple check everything we do. Somehow the senior Omega would always find something wrong. Getting in trouble ment getting burned like this or getting whipped. That is if we were lucky. If they got cruel we might get a switch or whip dipped in wolfsbane or silver. If any of the kids spoke out or got loud in any way they got beaten. I would try to take their place but it didn't always work...or it made things worse because two of us would get it instead of the one who did it. Is that how we were to be treated?" She finishes with tears running down her face.

Just as she finishes Beast and Mouse step in...actually it is more like rushes in. The bond is getting stronger as we spend more time.

"Sorry Alpha. The kids are getting upset. Alley was threatening to find Alpha Bessa. So we convinced her we would check on things."

"Understandable. Unless the council has anymore questions tonight I think we should let them settle in and come have dinner on the fourth floor tonight. Meet the Orphan pack while they are there."

"Just one more, for tonight, why is it your Bata, and Gamma here and not hers?" He asks.

"Because they are over seeing the pack the way my guys over see if I am not there. I have been teaching pack etiquette to the Orphan pack while getting to know my mate. They are kids and we have been trying to let them choose for themselves as often as possible. The youngest is three and the oldest is her." I state, pointing at Peanut.

About that time my phone rang. It is an internal line.

"Alpha Bessa, that would be for you." I say as I try to cool down. She goes and picks it up.

"Yes,...no everything is fine….let them know to set places for five more...Mouse and i will be right up to assist...ok. Beast Alley would like to talk to you." If you will excuse us we need to get things ready for dinner. You are welcome to join." She says as she takes Mouse's hand and heads out. Beast finishes the call and heads out too.

"She commands your men?"

"She is unique.not to mention they are mates as well." I say sitting back in my chair. Angel nods in agreement. We decided to meet in 20 minutes in the fourth floor dining room.
