Training had been rough, but after convincing Sterling to let me stay on our floor for a week to build up my confidence I was feeling like I didn’t need to hide anymore.
True to my word. One week later I walked hand in hand with Sterling to the great hall. The looks we were getting made me uncomfortable, but they were going to have to get used to the idea of me being with Sterling, because I wasn’t going anywhere.
Entering the great hall I was shocked to see how many people there really were here. Many greeted Sterling with smiling admiration. Just by looking at their mannerisms I could tell they respected him.
Sterling pulled out a chair for me before taking the seat next to me.
“Nice of you to finally join us,” Orion said.
