Ali introduced me to her parents who were lovely. They showed me outside where the party was going to be held. Her sister Sasha seemed to keep her distance from me until Quinton showed up.
“Don’t be mad at Nova,” he said, giving her a side hug.
“I’m not mad,” she looked down at the floor.
“Thanks for taking it easy on me. Honestly you would’ve taken me down in the first five seconds if I didn’t have help from Sterling”
She smiled slightly. She didn’t talk to me, but she could look me in the eyes now and that was something.
“Where is Sterling?” I asked Quinton.
“He should be here soon. He went to get Ali a gift and Parker was picking up the cake. You'd think for someone who runs a pack that he could manage to be here on time right,” he laughed.
