The cab pulled up to the port. I paid him and he was quick to be on his way. The dimly lit marina made it all the more eerie to arrive so late at night. I saw the yacht as I walked down the ramp. An uneasy feeling tightening the knots that had formed in my stomach. Once on board I opened the door and flipped the switch, turning on the lights. My heart dropped and I screamed. “Mateo. How did you get her before me?” I placed my hand over my chest, hoping to calm down even slightly. “I can’t let this be the end.
