Chapter two. The contract.

—Mehina's POV— I can almost imagine my own mind asking me why I was too surprised just because of a man I'm seeing making a phone call. *clicks tongue* He looks good. Not much to add to that. "No. Meet me in an hour. " I heard him say, before placing the phone on the table. Damn. He's more than good. Wait a sec. No, he can't be the Principal's son, can he? I tried to shrug it off. He's way too good-looking to come from her. " I have a case, Madam. And I would really like you to look into it. " The teacher said, pointing at me. " This girl– Student, pardon, Just insulted me in front of the class." "Mn. She's new?" The Principal said, scanning me. Horrific. She had this round, old face with a beautiful stubble on her cheek. (Now that's a stuff to wonder. How ugly stubbles are but fits her perfectly.) She was really a woman of makeup. Her lips were a full orange, her brows are drawn like...oh boy, my mind. Don't laugh Mehi. Don't laugh. I ignored her raking eyes at me. I know her thoughts. But you see, I'm not a fan of being simple. The uniform already sucks, so i added a bit of my style to it. A bit. "No student dresses like a savage going to hunt!" The principal barked. Yeah she's a woman, but hell, she barks. She stood up to look at me more properly. Or to address me more properly because she's quite tall. " What are these..things your'e wearing? Are they charms?! " The man in the room seemed to act like ithing was happening. His eyes never left the book he was holding for once to look at us. To look at 'me' . Hehe. "Charms?" I looked at the Principal quizzically. "Now that's one I won't take, Miss." I said, bluntly. I suddenly felt someone's eyes on me but I quickly ignored it. He's staring at me now. Pfft. Boy you better protect your mum else I could have a ' self control ' attitude on her. "I came here because she claimed I insulted her–" "Didn't you???!" Miss Claire shot back. I just noticed her name on the tag of the blue shirt she wore. " No, " I turned back to the Principal. "...and not for my appearance." I finished. I'm not a rude person. Don't start it first, that's just the rule and we are good. The Principal didn't know what to do anymore. She simply stared at me. Like Miss Claire did. This is all a drama. And drama doesn't suit me so I'm out. ––– Mehina shut the fridge with a thud. It was weird how that guy in the office was still on her mind till now. But damn. He's good looking. It took her all not to look at him. Ugh. This is getting too much. She needs to clear him out of her head. Mehina slumps on the bed with her ice-cream and laptop. She has to call her friend, Jacie. She happened to be the only one who understands her. "Heyyy" Jacie beamed. "Heyyy" "Nahhh that's not you. What's going on?" Jacie peered closely at her. Jacie had brown sandy hair that curled around her shoulders. Her body was quite hairy, exceptions for her face. White fluff hairs. She did look like a baby sometimes "I wonna come back home," Mehina tried to sound sad. " I miss us. Look at you...your mixed eyes, your coloured hair. And I almost got suspended for a simple fur ear and some few charm necklaces." Silence ensued. Clearly Jacie didn't buy that. She seemed rather suspicious. " Fur hair? Mehina you revealed your self?!–" "No no no I didn't– they didn't notice, I mean..." "Of course they didn't." Jacie shot Mehina a look. " Hope you didnt lose control. " Nope. She didn't. She almost drooled on that man's face. The way he stared at her before she walked out of the office was insane. Dang!!!! Focus Mehi. "Be careful, Mehi" "Yeah. I will. And I've got something to tell you. " The serious tone came back.
