Time stood still as Marcus locked eyes with me, as he had a mix expressions. He drew me closer, his gaze intense and searching.
“Say that again,” he insisted. I could feel the weight of his anticipation.
“I love you, Professor Marcus.”
A smile broke across his lips as he leaned in closer, whispering firmly into my ear, “I love you too, Cassie. But you should know, you have to be punished for taking so long to sort out your feelings.”
The force of his words left me speechless for a second. "Punished?" I whispered.
"Yes." He replied. And with one sweep of his arm, he lifted me in the air and placed me to sit on the sink.
