Cassandra POV. I woke up the next morning, my head spinning. My eyes darted across the room, and I realized I wasn't dead. “I’m alive,” I muttered, firmly pulling the drip out of my hand. “Be careful, don’t hurt yourself,” I heard Marcus’ voice from the corner of the room. I turned sharply toward him, and there he was, seated in a king-sized chair, looking like a demigod carved from a painting. I quickly scanned the room again to grasp my surroundings.
