Cassandra POV A cold sweat broke out on my skin as I opened my eyes. Frustrated, I quickly reached for my phone to check the time. “It was just a nightmare,” I muttered to myself, but the imagery lingered, feeding my growing concern for Nate’s safety. I picked up my phone to dial his number again, but, as usual, it was switched off. Anxiety tightened in my chest. Just then, I was jolted from my thoughts by a knock on the door. I hesitated for a moment, then firmly got out of bed to see who was there. I opened the door and was taken aback to see Miss Anna standing in front of the door. “Miss Anna! What brings you here?” I asked, keeping my voice steady. “Good day, Cassandra. Professor Marcus requested your presence in the dining room,” she said, her gaze fixed intently on me.
