"Ah!"
Blood sprayed as the head sycophant let out a miserable scream. Gu Sha leaped, delivering a powerful kick to the guy's head, flipping him onto the ground. The impact knocked him unconscious.
Everyone was stunned, scattering in fear and staring at Gu Sha. Even the male classmates preparing to move the table and open the door stood pale on the side.
Gu Sha scanned his terrified classmates and coldly declared, "Who else wants to be a do-gooder and open the door?"
No one dared to speak, the students retreated in panic.
Gu Sha sneered, wiped the warm blood off his hands, feeling no discomfort. Having survived two decades in the apocalypse, killing was second nature. To survive, one had to be ruthless and cold-blooded.
Before long, this world would lose all laws and morals, and everyone's sole goal would be survival.
Gu Sha wiped his face and proceeded to a table, emptied its contents, and found a dagger among them. It belonged to a troublemaker in their class, always showing off with the blade.
In the previous life, it ended up in the hands of one of Chen Nannan's sycophants. In this life, Gu Sha needed it; in these circumstances, a weapon was crucial.
Suddenly, hysterical roars echoed from outside the door. Through the small window, they could see the girl who sought help had mutated into a zombie.
Chen Nannan pounded on the iron door, shouting frantically, "Save me, save me... she turned into a zombie, hurry and save me!"
"Gu Sha, you bastard..."
"Move, get out of the way, don't bite me..."
"Ah... Gu Sha, I was wrong, quickly let me in, save me, I... ah..."
Soon, Chen Nannan's voice disappeared.
In the classroom, Gu Sha surveyed the students. "See that?"
He scolded in a low voice, "This is the person you wanted to save, a bunch of fools!"
Everyone saw it, and a large group of zombies had gathered outside the door. All were horrified.
Gu Sha held the dagger and said coldly, "From now on, everyone follows my command. Any objections?"
Gu Sha had just killed Chen Nannan, leveraging this dominance. Facing a group of students, even the toughest person would be intimidated, let alone a bunch of students. They all nodded, too scared to speak.
Gu Sha glanced at them and didn't say anything more. Instead, he found a place to sit, conserving energy and preparing for what lay ahead.
The atmosphere inside the classroom became oppressively heavy. For Gu Sha, it didn't matter, but for the students, it was torturous.
Gu Sha sat quietly, planning in his mind. In this apocalypse, resources were crucial, but there was something even more precious— the Initial Origin.
Though this term was officially defined in the future, at this point, nobody knew about it. It was the greatest opportunity in this world.
Gu Sha, having experienced the previous life, knew the importance of seizing this opportunity. With his knowledge, he possessed an advanced Qi Cultivation Technique not yet discovered in this world. While only intermediate, its efficiency in converting Qi far surpassed the effects of casual ingestion.
He needed to act quickly. In a month, the second Crimson Arrival would occur. By then, everyone would know about the Source Beads, and the competition for them would be fierce. Only top-tier experts would have a chance. Moreover, the Source Beads during the second arrival, although fewer, would contain much more energy.
Gu Sha had experienced the second arrival's impact on the world, changing the power dynamics.
In the classroom, Gu Sha continued organizing his thoughts. Eventually, as time passed, night fell, and the outside zombie roars diminished. By deep night, the surroundings became completely silent.
Gu Sha knew it was time. These recently mutated zombies still retained many human habits, and they would enter a state of sleep during the late night.
"Let's go!" Gu Sha suddenly stood up, looking at the frightened classmates. "Follow me immediately!"
