Nathan I knew something was off. I had known for a while now; ten minutes, to be exact, but it was only when I turned onto a quieter side street just outside the courthouse district that the truth really settled in my gut. That same black sedan that had been behind me since I left the courthouse made another identical turn, like it was attached to my rear bumper with an invisible cord. It was too precise and too close. Too damn familiar if you ask me. I had taken more turns than I needed to, slowed at yellow lights that could’ve been passed, and even switched lanes abruptly just to see what the car would do.
