Eleanor We walked down the hallway in a comfortable sort of silence, my hand still tingling from where his hand closed around mine a moment ago. If Hannah hadn't come at the moment she did, I wondered what we would have been doing by now, and the thought made me smile softly. Maybe another chance would come for us to continue and finish what we started. Nathan didn’t say anything, and neither did I as we walked downstairs, but it felt like everything had already been said, or maybe, everything that needed to be said was waiting for the right moment. When we reached the bottom of the stairs, the house was filled with the sound of silverware being set and the low murmur of voices from the kitchen.
