Celine's mother wasn't at home. A knock on her door had to be the weirdest thing. She asked Jace to hide in the bathroom while she went to check.
She saw a strange boy. She had never seen him before. "Who are you?' she asked, moving back slowly. He introduced himself as Dorman, Jace's friend. He had escorted Jace there, and he got impatient, so he had to go into the house.
Celine dashed to the bathroom to yell at Jace for coming along with his clumsy friend.
Jace apologized and told Dorman to wait for him and not spoil any fun.
"Fun?'' Celine asked, with her knuckles clustered together. Celine knew she could prove that she was hard to get, but this was not a time to do that.
There was a minute or two of silence right before Jace finally told her about how he felt about her. Still, that didn't move Celine. All she thought of at that point was to have i*********e with him.
While they spoke, Celine spoke like one who does the stand at night for a living. He was a lot more surprised. This was not the Celine he knew from school, this was not the nerd who everyone at school makes fun of.
He knew he'd go into her, but he needed to know her reasons for acting the way she did at school.
Celine was all over him, and he had to get to the root of why she was different in school.
"My mum's calling," he said, running out of the house without saying any other word.
