Serena's Pov
When the sun rose the next day, I couldn't help but smile because each day here seemed like it was going to be exciting. I turned slightly and saw Adrien still half-asleep beside me, his arm draped over my waist. For a moment, I just laid there, staring at him in silence.
And then his eyes opened slowly, and when he caught me staring, a crooked smile tugged at his lips.
“Like what you see?” he teased, voice rough with sleep.
I rolled my eyes. “Don’t flatter yourself." I was just thinking about how peaceful you look when you’re not bossing people around.” I uttered and closed my eyes in pride.
Adrien chuckled, brushing his fingers through my hair. “Careful, Serena." I might keep you here forever if you keep insulting me like that.”
