I was in my office, trying to deal with the stack of papers before me, but each time I had gotten to a stage of concentration, thoughts of Serena often came to my mind.
She must have felt so bad when she saw Annabel and me together in the office just when I had asked Ethan to call her attention. Annabel just always had to come at such moments.
