40. Kage

1922 Words
Kage watched Kieran lean against the wall of the elevator as it rose. Artem, Hikaru, and Mika were all with them, and Kieran refused to meet anyone’s eyes. Altina was in one of the cells under the Lodge until everyone could figure out what to do with her. Everyone was quiet as they exited the elevator and headed to the apartment. Echo was sitting at the table with a cup of tea when they all entered and ran to them. She was confused when she saw Hikaru and Mika but soon had everyone at the table with a plate of food in front of them. There were baked goods all over the kitchen, and Echo blushed as she explained that she had baked to alleviate her worry. Kieran took his plate into his room and let everyone else explain what had happened. Kage wanted to tell Echo about Kieran’s sickness but didn’t want to discuss it in front of Artem and the others. By the time everyone had left, Kage still hadn’t decided if he wanted to tell her. Or let Kieran tell her himself. Artem offered to let Hikaru and Mika stay with him. Kage was grateful for that. He still didn’t know how he felt about the one he shared a face with. “Hikaru and Mika seem nice,” Echo said gently, sitting on her bed across from the spare bed that Kage sat on. He heard the other man building something inside when he pressed his ear to Kieran’s room. Kage looked in the direction of Kieran’s room. “I guess.” “He’s home. Go to him.” “Neither of us gets side pieces.” Kage hadn’t meant to eavesdrop on Kieran and Altina. He had only wanted to apologize for walking away after Kieran admitted why he had done what he had. But those words had felt like a knife to the heart. He shook his head. “His beast chose a mate,” he said and curled up in his bed with Mrs. Squawkle. “I’ll go feed tomorrow night.” Echo turned off the light, and Kage did his best not to make too much noise as he cried himself to sleep. When Kage woke up the following day, Echo was already awake and in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Kieran was there as well, making coffee. He turned to Kage and smiled as he set a mug of coffee on the table next to Kage’s plate. “Morning,” Kieran said. “Morning,” Kage responded in a tiny voice as he sipped at the heavily sweetened drink. “I’m going to go out to feed tonight.” “Do you want me to go with?” Kage shook his head. “No. I’ll be fine on my own.” “Are you sure?” Kieran asked as he set the platter of pancakes on the table. “Yeah.” Kieran watched him for a time before he sighed and sat down. “If you’re sure…” Breakfast was quiet. It was the same with the rest of the day until Kage went to the bathroom to get ready to go out. He looked at himself in the mirror. Eyeliner and mascara made his silver eyes pop, and lip gloss made his full lips shine. He’d chosen clothes that showed off both his masculine and feminine features. Kage fluffed up his small breasts and frowned at his image in the mirror. Altina’s breasts are bigger than mine, he grumped. “Are you sure you want to go on your own?” Kieran asked as Kage touched the handle of the front door. He turned to Kieran and smiled. “I’ll be fine. Promise. You don’t need to wait up for me.” The bus ride to the Ebony Playground was uneventful, and Kage started to make his way to The Seven Deadly Sins. He paused and frowned. Kieran would likely stalk me there… He turned and headed in the opposite direction. A customer had told him of another club on the other side of the playground. The Doghouse. It took Kage a bit to find the dance/strip club, but he finally did. A line was outside the door, and he joined the queue, snuggling more into his jacket in the cold night air. The line moved quickly enough, and soon, Kage was at the front door. The two bouncers at the door had pointed horns at their temples, black t-shirts stretched over corded muscle, and black jeans, and each had a sinuous tail with a point at the end. That was where the similarities between the two ended. One had fair skin like Kieran’s and hair a rich chocolate brown. The other had darker skin and a head shaved so smooth it shined. Kage’s eyes widened at their crimson eyes flecked with silver. “Look, brother. One of Lucifer’s flock seems to have gotten lost,” the fair-skinned one said as he leaned forward to peer at Kage’s silver eyes. “Or has he come seeking more than the tame lust Lucifer provides his flock?” the darker of the two said as he moved around Kage, his tail sliding along Kage’s thigh. “I…” Kage swallowed and turned to leave. “Maybe I should go.” “Leave?” a deep, rich voice said from behind him. Kage rarely had to look up at people other than Kieran’s brothers and father, but the man who had walked up behind him dwarfed him. He had the darkest skin Kage had ever seen, and his black hair was braided into tight braids with silver claws at the ends. His tailored suit fit his muscled body, and Kage wondered if it cost more than all his clothes. The man’s crimson eyes were silver-flecked and held a playful glimmer to them as his long and pointed tail slid up Kage’s front until it cupped his chin. It was covered in short, soft fur. “Come, Dulce Puella. Let us show you how other demons play,” the man said as his hand slid along Kage’s shoulders and led him inside the club. Inside, the club was loud with booming music, and lust rode the air as bodies writhed on the dance floor. It wasn’t like the dancing at The Seven Deadly Sins. Here, it was more like every human and demonic Nephilim was performing a vulgar mating ritual. At the bar, the man snapped at the bartender. The woman behind the bar had the same tail as the men, and her punk rock clothes showed more skin through the holes than hid behind the cloth. “Something sweet for my Dulce Puella,” the man said, his arm still around Kage’s shoulders. Kage frowned at the interaction. Kieran and Ray always ignored customers who snapped their fingers at them. “Kieran says it’s rude when customers snap at him.” “Oh? He must be low on the food chain. When you’re at the top, you can do as you wish, Dulce Puella,” the man said, leaning against the bar and pulling Kage close. Kage pushed lightly against the man’s chest to keep distance between them. “Um… My… My name is Kage,” he said softly. “W-what’s yours?” “I am Cain Cerberus,” the man said. His tail wrapped around Kage’s waist and kept Kage close to him. The bartender returned with a clear glass of a purple drink with ice and a cocktail straw. The glass was garnished with an orange slice and two chocolate-covered candied orange peels. Cain took the orange slice and squeezed the juice into the drink, and Kage watched as the purple drink turned pink. He then pushed the glass toward Kage. “Try.” Kage looked at the drink momentarily before glancing up at Cain. “Is it alcoholic? Kieran always says I should avoid alcohol when I go out to feed.” “Kieran sounds like he’s no fun,” Cain teased, his tail rubbing along Kage’s hip. “Live a little, Dulce Puella,” he whispered the last against Kage’s ear, sending shivers down his spine. The drink was cold and tasted like carbonated pineapple orange juice. Kage giggled at the sweetness and the warm feeling that spread through him. “It’s good,” he said as he sipped the drink. “I’m glad you like it. Now, why has one of Lucifer’s flock come to the Dog House?” Cain asked as he led Kage to a more secluded area with a large plush sofa that he sat on and pulled Kage down next to him. Kage relaxed into Cain’s side as he sipped at the drink. Cain’s tail wrapped around his waist, and his arm rested on the back of the sofa behind Kage. “I wanted to go somewhere else to feed on sin…” “And why is that? Lucifer caters to many seeking the pleasures of s*x Nephilim.” Kage felt a sharp pang in his heart. “I didn’t want Kieran to keep an eye on me…” he said softly. “This Kieran sounds controlling and no fun,” Cain said. He trailed his fingers in Kage’s hair lightly. “He’s not… He just took a mate, and I don’t want him to waste his time on me…” Kage said. “He made it clear he won’t take a side piece.” Cain laughed, full-throated and deep. “Won’t take a side piece? Oh, he sounds boring. And a liar. I bet he would eagerly take you to bed when his mate isn’t looking.” Kage felt his cheeks heat up. “He has never actually had s*x with me…” he mumbled into his drink. “He hasn’t? What a moron,” Cain said and tilted Kage’s face to look at the red-eyed Nephilim. He leaned forward and kissed Kage. Kage froze momentarily as Cain’s tongue slid across his lips, asking for entrance. The kiss started gently as Cain took Kage’s drink and set it on the table. As the kiss grew wild, Kage straddled Cain’s lap and could feel his c**k harden through his pants. The kiss grew wild, and Kage ground himself into Cain’s lap. “Call your feed to us,” Cain whispered against Kage’s lips. “How?” Kage moaned out as Cain reached down to rub his c**k. “Reach out with your magic. Call them to us.” Kage released his magic like a net on the club as Cain moved him to lay on his back on the coffee table before the sofa. He quickly worked on Kage’s pants just as his net caught the sweet chocolate scent of betrayal. Come to me… “Oh… An aphra-male,” Cain said as his hand stroked Kage’s c**k and his tail rubbed against his opening. The man that came to them was cute, and Kage reached out his hands to pull the man closer so he could pull the already rock-hard c**k free. Before he could lick the bead of nectar from the tip, Cain lifted him and pressed the tip of his c**k to Kage’s entrance. “Condom…” Kage gasped out. “Relax, Dulce Puella. I’ve got you,” Cain said as he pushed inside. Kage whimpered at the strange sensation of being stretched there. The man he had called with his magic pulled his head back to his c**k and pushed inside Kage’s mouth.
