Nero's POV
Lorenzo didn't want me in his house. He was scared. I saw fear in his eyes when he saw me standing next to his niece, and it brought me a great deal of satisfaction to know it was so easy to get under his skin.
He knew of my reputation.
"When you told me Nero DeLuca was your boyfriend, I didn't believe it. I thought you were kidding." He told Serena.
I could already sense the manipulation coming from a mile away. He wanted to manipulate her into doing what he wanted. I could see he was trying to get his hooks into Serena and control what she did.
And he wasn't even her father.
"Why would I lie to you about this, Zio? I have never lied to you before."
