GROWL!

Hounds, they are B tier monsters that are found outside of the Prisma Kingdom. I still don’t have any kind of experience fighting against anyone including monsters and humans. But I do have a lot of knowledge on the stats of this hound including its total health and what magic has an advantage against it.

“Rin! Raised up the wall to corner it!” Amaya instructed.

Ten yellow reo is needed to do the Earth Wall magic, if she’s smart it would only take her 1.2 seconds to raise a wall that is sturdy enough for that hound. It’s not that powerful but it’s very useful if you’re conserving mana since it only costs 10 mana.

《Earth Wall》

The orientation of the wall is perfect but she casted it for about 1.3 seconds after Amaya’s instructor.

《Scorched Ground》

A blazing fire erupted from where the Hound is standing. Scorched Ground is a fire spell that requires 12 red reos and also costs 12 mana.

“What are you doing, Rin?! Even a milliseconds delay could be fatal in some situations. Finished it, Teth,” Amaya said.

《Frost Wind》

A very cold breeze came from Teth’s staff and froze the Hound in place. After a few seconds, the hound fell down.

Frost Wind, a combination of both wind and water spells. It would require six blue reos and seven yellow reos. That means for the very least, Teth has the affinity for water, wind and earth. 

What a good combination of magic? The bone of this hound is made up of metal and a sudden change in temperature would affect how its body functions. This means that these three have been training together for so long already. To defeat Hound with only a total of 35 mana is such a good achievement.

 Everyone looks at Amaya.

“Ahmm. I’m very sorry, Zenith. I didn’t know that there’s a gift giving. I’m so foolish that I didn’t think about giving you one, give me sometime and I’ll think of something to give you,” Amaya said.

“Don’t worry about it, Amaya. Everyone’s presence is already a gift for me so you being here is already a present,” Zenith said.

“I understand, but I’ll try to think of something and I’ll also try to give it to you today so it is still your birthday,” Amaya said.

“If that’s what you want but keep in mind that it’s fine even if you weren’t able to find something, okay?” Zenith said.

“I’m sorry, too. I thought you knew about this thing already, Amaya. The scarf could fit in my dimensional pocket so I just tried to store it there. I discovered that if I think really hard about it, I can keep other small things in here aside from my weapon and arrows,” Zeana said.

“It’s not your fault, Zeana. Don’t be sorry,” Amaya said.

“Then, let’s have our lunch and enjoy the sea,” Zenith said.

“Is this sea safe?” Zeana asked.

“It feels like war happened here just a few minutes ago due to its color,” Amaya said.

“It’s still safe but people are really dead all over the area but I’m sure that it’s been quite a while already so we won’t see any corpses,” Rista said.

“That’s not something you say to convince them,” Zenith said.

“Anyway, the beach is a beach so let’s enjoy ourselves,” Rista said,

“So anything to do after eating our lunch?” Amaya asked.

“Then how about beach volleyball?” Rista asked.

“What’s that?” Zenith asked.

“I’ll explain the rules later but we need a ball to play this game, something sturdy and bouncy,” Rista said.

“If that’s the only description, I can make it through clothing alchemy,” Zeana replied.

They finished their lunch and Rista started giving instruction on how to play the game.

“The rule is very simple, don’t let the ball fall down on your designated area but make the ball fall to the other team. No holding of the ball, you can only touch the ball for some time, and since this is a test of strength, magic skills are allowed to be used. I’ll be the one who will facilitate this so don’t worry about what’s going to happen with your magic. And since magic attacks are involved, another rule is added, no magic skill directed at your opponents and no magic that would change the area drastically,” Rista explained.

“This is an interesting game! So what is the pairing?” Zeana asked.

“We’ll have a draw between the four of you. Rin should play in his small form and transforming during the game is not allowed. She could still use advanced magic so it is still fine,” Rista said.

After the draw lots. They went to different sides of the court.

“I’m Rista, your announcer and this is beach volleyball with Zeana-nee and Amaya-nee against Rin and Prince Zenith! Let the friendly match begin!” Rista announced.

Zenith served the ball as hard as he could and made it to the other court.

《Fire bolt》

The bolt hit the ball and bounced towards Rin’s area.

Rin used her wings to flip the ball back to the other side.

“This is amazing, could team Zeana-nee and Amaya-nee bring it back?” Rista asked.

Amaya used her arrows to hit the ball and make it go to the other court.

“Hey, you guys are basically only using magic and weapons! Why am I not allowed to use my sword” Zenith said and spiked the ball back to Amaya.

《Rock Strike》

Rocks hit the ball and fly towards Zenith.

“Zenith managed to receive it but wasn’t able to return it back and it bounced away. Can Rin follow up?” Rista announced.

“You can’t reach it, Rin. Use your magic, like the ground thingy,” Zenith exclaimed.

Rin growled and a big rock appeared from the ground, saving the ball and making it bounce to the other court.

Amaya and Zeana tried to receive it but they thought that the other made a move and the ball finally fell down to the ground.

One point goes to Team Zeana-nee and Amaya-nee,” Rista announced.

“What? We clearly won that point!” Zenith exclaimed.

“The rule is to not let the ball touch the ground on your side. The ball clearly touches the ground since the rock that Rin appeared in came from the ground,” Rista explained.

“Huh? It’s her magic, Amaya also uses sand from the ground right?” Zenith said.

“I’m not sure about that, let’s proceed,” Rista said.

The match continued but ended up in a tie as the ball disintegrated even before their point went to four points.

“Overall, it’s fun,” Zenith said.

“Right?” Rista said.

“Yup! Thank you for introducing us to this game, Rista!” Amaya said.

After having some rest, they played in the sea then prepared food for dinner. They light up the place to make a good lighting and proceed to have their dinner.

Before everyone slept in their tents, Zenith went out to feel some air.

We’re really inside the Abysmal Territory. I didn’t expect that there would be a place here for us to have this kind of enjoyment. I hope that I can make everyone feel this way all around Gekozen. Zenith thought.

“Why the long face?” Amaya asked.

“Oh, you’re still awake? I’m just thinking how are we able to enjoy a day even if we’re inside this territory,” Zenith replied.

“Well, it all works up so don’t bother asking how. Live the moment for tomorrow might become different,” Amaya replied.

“I keep that in mind. So, your reason for being here?” Zenith said.

“Oh, the gift,” Amaya said.

“Oh, did you think of something or you already have it in you?” Zenith asked.

“Yep, it’s me,” Amaya said.

“What? Your gift, is it you?” Zenith asked.

“Yup, you can do whatever you want to me. It’s your day after all,” Amaya said.

Zenith flicked Amaya’s forehead.

“You understand what you’re saying?” Zenith asked.

“Of course! It’s fine,” Amaya said.

“Then, hug me,” Zenith said.

“What?!” Amaya exclaimed.

“I thought you understood?” Zenith asked.

Amaya suddenly hugs Zenith.

“Oh, really did it,” Zenith said.

“Stupid, you told me to,” Amaya said.

Zenith hugs Amaya back.

“Thank you for making my day, you and everyone,” Zenith said.

Zenith let go of Amaya.

“Then, let’s go back to sleep. Shall we?” Zenith said.

I was only able to defeat the three Goblin Overlords because I have an amplified power and they are not being careful, but this one was able to sense my attack when I used my Sword Eruption and my Atomic Execution. He’s on the pinnacle of being an Overlord, in due time he might become a Goblin King, too. Zenith thought.

《Crescent Strike》

The Goblin Overlord was directly hit but he only managed to survive the attack.

Just as I thought. My warcry duration will be finished the moment he comes into contact with me, I need to do a fatal attack before that happens. Zenith thought.

Zenith runs toward the goblin.

《Snake Ascension》

The attack led Zenith’s position to be on Goblin Overlord’s back.

“Plus,” Zenith said, then his aura changed from dark brown to red.

《Crucifixion》

“You should be dead or else,” Zenith said.

The Goblin Overlord was able to stay on his feet. It turned around at Zenith.

“Damn it, my power is not enough?” Zenith asked.

The Goblin Overlord was able to raise his baton but it fell down to the ground.

“I did it, there’s the Goblin King that’s left,” Zenith said.

As the smoke dust clears up. The Goblin King started to hurl his morning star hitting the normal goblins along the way.

Monster doesn’t care even if they killed their underlings. What a brutal being? Zenith thought.

Before the Goblin King reached Zenith, it slammed the morning star on the ground. At the end of it’s weapon, fiery spikes come out of the ground and in a straight pattern up to where Zenith is standing.

Zenith was nearly hit by the last spike since it’s bigger than the other spike.

I can see that it is serious. My experience fighting him the last time doesn’t have any meaning since he was toying that time around.  Zenith thought.

Zenith took a deep breath and his aura turned to dark brown again.

《Blink Strike》

When Zenith tried to hit the Goblin King, it catches Zenith’s sword with its other hand.

《Shock Chase》

Even with a shockwave, the Goblin King's hand is still grabbing Zenith’s sword.

When the morning star was about to hit Zenith, he released his sword and backed off into some distance. He grabbed a sword sword that was used by normal goblins and waited for the Goblin King’s move.
