“Finally, Zenith Kleinhaus, the ninth prince of the Kingdom of Prisma,” the King’s Secretary said.
Unlike the atmosphere earlier, the crowd is somewhat serious rather than excited. So my career in life depends on my magic level, all of these people will know how great or how bad I am. If it’s not high, at least not below level 3.
From what I heard, they are talking that I could have a level 9 magic. It is the highest grade ever recorded, that includes all age ranges. So it must be the maximum level in this world, I hope that my magic is not that high since that means that I wouldn’t be able to be stronger anymore. That’s very boring.
My mother personally assists me going to the basin with magical crystals. I’m nervous, it’s been years since I experienced this kind of feeling.
The water was poured into me and I saw everyone’s shock reaction. Did I achieve it? Magic level 9? Please, no. At least just level 8 like my younger sister.
“Zenith Kleinhaus, magic level 1,” the King’s Secretary said.
Wait, what? Level 1? Not even level 4, but level 1.
“Raven, is the magical crystal not working properly. It’s impossible that my son would have that kind of magic level. Change the crystal immediately!” my father commanded.
That’s right, Raven! Your name is kinda cool but do what he’s saying already. I see the potential villain laughing in the front of the stage.
The assistant changed the magical crystal three times already and made sure it's working properly but my magic level is still just 1. My mother left me with the maid and assisted Zeana instead. Everyone seemed so disappointed at the result. Does this mean that my dream of doing my magic research ended right after I was reborn?
My father, I mean, the King that I feel will abandon me to get the attention of everyone.
“My people, I’m happy about your presence. This event is really remarkable since the first princess, Zeana, achieved something unimaginable!” the king announced.
Everyone cheered after the king’s announcement. They dispersed and had their own conversation while leaving the event area. Did they forget about me already?
“Hey, the ninth prince is so funny! He’s more remarkable than the first princess, imagine having a royal prince having a level one magic,” one of the people in the crowd said.
No way will they forget about me. The king and the queen left already, not even giving me some comfort. And who are these kids? Oh my brothers, maybe they would comfort me.
One kid smirks, then laughs.
I see, they are the same. Well, I don’t really care about this. I don’t even need this kind of fame tho at least God should have given me more magic level. But since in this world, magic can be level up, I can still move forward even with this little power.
“It’s okay, Zenith. You got me, don’t mind everyone that mocks you. Though I think you don't understand what’s happening?” one of my brothers said.
I see, they do care after all. This is my oldest brother, Ziend. Currently eighteen years old and known to be the most kind and forgiving prince. It’s very assuring that there’s someone like this in my family. I hope he’s the one that will ascend the throne after my father.
Five years have passed and I was able to sneak some books related to magic. This is very confusing because their magic system is too different from my previous life. And my parents didn’t even assign a professional tutor for me, what my tutor do is just to only talk about his personal life. It's unending since he always repeat everything every week.
In the end, I ditch every class I have with him. Well, unlike me, all of my brothers and my sister have their own tutor that excels at everything. Best professor, best wizard, best knight and even the best musician, they all experience learning from them.
I hid from them and missed every event that this kingdom is holding. They conclude that I didn’t care about anything but they seem not to care since I’m not that important to them. I do want to attend every event as much as possible since it will be the only time that I could find Amaya since they are living in a duchy outside of this city. But I am only mocked whenever other people see me.
And that’s the reason I was known as the Frivolous Prince, I didn’t know when that name circulated in this Kingdom. I just overheard it from many people. I really don’t mind about this since that name is really befitting.
Anyway, I’ll just quickly increase my level since I heard that increasing from level one to level 2 is faster compared to leveling from other levels. I infer that the experience needed to level up increases as your level goes higher, this means that if I do things faster than anyone, I might catch up before I could go to the academy.
The Prisma Magic Academy, the best academy here in the Kingdom that teaches about magic. I could go there after I turned 15 years old, that’s eight years from now. Based on the information that I gathered, I could increase my level up to level five after eight years if I could do things smoothly.
“Hey, brother! Hiding here again?” Zeana asked.
Zeana, aside from my brother, Ziend, she’s the only one that shows care for me.
“Hey there, little sister. Are you not ashamed to hang out with someone like me?” I replied.
“Why will I be ashamed? You’re my brother, it’s normal for me to do that. And I also feel safe and calm whenever I’m with you,” she said.
I didn’t know how she felt that way but it’s okay than being alone in this room.
“I’m only reading books here, I couldn’t play with you right now,” I said.
Zeana becomes sad and I feel so guilty about it.
“Why are you even reading those books? We are being taught by our tutors and they are really good at teaching. You’re ditching your classes that’s why you’re struggling on learning new things. I already learn how to read, write and do basic math things,” Zeana said.
I already can do that during my second year in this world but since you’re not a reincarnation, then doing those things are really amazing at your age. Maybe I should praise her for it.
“You already learned that? I am very proud!” I said.
Zeana seemed so confused.
“Why are you that amazed? I notice that you already learned those things and the fact that you’re reading some complicated books like that proves what I’m saying,” Zeana said.
Is my acting really that obvious? I should have tried to study acting during my previous life.
“Zeana, make sure you keep this thing a secret, okay? For now, let’s just play outside,” I said.
Zeana jumps around which it seems that she won against me. Well, I couldn’t resist my cute sister being sad about not being able to play with me. I just hope that upon having first hand experience with magic, my level goes up quickly.
