On the next day, the academy taught us intermediate magic. They easily made a course based on the previous test that we had.
At this age, people are aware what type of magic they want to master, so the first year in this academy is more on teaching every kind of magic that could be used against us.
It’s not that we are going to fight with other humans or other mages. It is because there are monsters that are capable of using magic as well. Like the hound that could use metal magic, there are more ferocious monsters that have a higher level of intellect that we could encounter outside of the safe area of the kingdom.
I’m confident that everyone here was already taught about those things but what they are doing is a centralized teaching that would make everyone experience the same kinds of knowledge. As every tutor in the kingdom has different ways of teaching. So the first year at the academy will be boring as hell.
I could learn more if I study with Rista but there’s no point of complaining since I’m already here.
“Alright, everyone. I hope that you are already packed up since you’ll have to move to the academy dorm next week,” Professor Vyrr said.
Wait, what? Is that a thing here? Oh, I see. That’s the reason that I haven’t seen Zeus that many times when he turned fifteen years old.

Zenith slammed the table again and this time, the table broke into pieces. The crowd was silenced.
"As all of you know, this is my son, Zenith. And if you're gonna believe it or not, he's the most powerful person in this village," Toya said.
The villagers murmured.
"And we're meeting about the future of this village. Later this afternoon, the goblins will invade this village," the village chief said.
"Then, why are there a lot of us here? They're only goblins," one of the villagers said.
"It'll be a Catastrophe Rank S threat level. Three Goblin Kings and four Goblin Overlords will be present," Toya said.
Some of the villagers started to panic.
"But don't worry, Aica would also join the battle together with my son. Let's do our best to protect them," Toya said.
"So, we already sent someone to confirm the location of the goblins. They are staying at the nearby caves. It'll be hard for us to fight them in their turf so we'll set up traps and then wait for an ambush. Toya and Dalton will confront the Overlords and the Kings, we'll all standby and take our chance to defeat normal goblins and the lower rank goblins," the village chief said.
They laid out the plan for an ambush then patiently waited on part of the valley.

The goblins started to pass through the area. The traps are all ready and they just waited a little to let the goblins generals or the goblin overlord be trapped to decrease the fighting force of the goblins.
Zenith saw the arrogant Goblin King and his target Goblin Overlord. The trap was set off and it's the signal of the start of the battle.
Dalton and Toya started to confront the Goblin Overlord. The villagers fought the normal goblins and some villagers used bows and arrows at a safe distance to snipe goblins that were far from the battlefield.
Zenith runs to a position that is in the range of the most powerful Goblin Overlord.
“Wait are you doing, Zenith?” Aica exclaimed.
“Mom, please support Dad and Dalton-sensei,” Zenith said.
As Zenith positioned himself, he also started to fight.

All of the Goblins aside from the Goblin King that’s in his range runs towards him. Even that Goblin Overlord that is fought by Dalton and Toya was lured out.
“Dad! Dalton-sensei! Make sure that the Goblin will not interfere with this battle,” Zenith shouted.
Villagers attacked the goblins that were running towards Zenith.
“Should we also do that to Goblin Overlord, Toya?” Dalton asked.
“No, we’ll be fighting this one!” Toya said, then engaged in a fight with the Goblin King.
“I know how to defeat you already, might Goblin Overlord,” Zenith said.
Zenith emits red aura signifying the power of anger that amplifies the power of all abilities of the user.

“Now, there are only small fries and the Goblin King,” Zenith said.
Zenith killed the other three Goblin Overlords and cleaned up the rest of the goblins that the villagers were fighting with.
Everyone was shocked at Zenith's capability.
Toya and Dalton, unaware of Zenith’s feat, are toe to toe with the Goblin King.
Now, I just need to kill this Goblin King before the other two come out of the Cave. I can’t do the same method I used when I fought this monster since my Dad and Dalton-sensei are on the way. Should I tell them to back off? But I already used my Refresh skill, I should let them help to at least save my lifeforce. Zenith thought.
“Dad, Dalton-sensei. I’ll be joining your battle,” Zenith shouted.
“Zenith, focused on other goblins first, we’ll try to knock this one ourselves,” Toya replied.
《Blink Strike》
“Dad, it’s all finished, the three Goblin Kings are the only monsters left,” Zenith said while slashing the Goblin King.
《Snake Ascension》
“It's already on the attack, I cannot continue my combo,” Zenith said.
Zenith, being up in the air, started flying up higher so the Goblin King would not reach him.
“Flight magic? Your son is capable of doing that?” Dalton exclaimed.
Aica flew towards Zenith.
“You’re really powerful, my son. But this time, I’ll help with everything that I can,” Aica said.
“Mom, we’re going to be fine against this one, please reserve your mana to the two other Goblin Kings when they show up. Look at this height, Mom. Don’t let the other two Goblin Kings join the fight,” Zenith said.
“It feels weird being commanded by my own son, but I understand what you’re saying. I’ll watch from here,” Aica said.
“Dalton-sensei, use your Heaven’s Tempest against the Goblin King,” Zenith shouted.
“Tch, Zenith, your son really inherited your character. But if he was able to wipe the other goblins, he might have a different plan on his mind,” Dalton said.
“Asheolus, give me power and fuse with my sword,” Dalton chanted.
“Let the blade and the wind be in accord,” Dalton chanted.
A gust of wind is building up in Dalton’s sword.

As the stream of wind hit the Goblin King, it wasn’t lifted up in the air.
“It didn’t work,” Dalton said.
It’s fine. The only goal is for the snow to mix with the wind and blinded the Goblin King. Zenith thought.

Shockwaves hit the Goblin King but wasn’t able to be knocked down.

As Zenith was descending downwards, the Goblin King was able to sense the attack and dodge.
He did it again. My Atomic s***h didn’t crush the ground, the snow in this area makes it hard to crush the ground and made him unbalanced, but this Goblin King is on the verge of falling down. Zenith thought.
“Goddess of Ice, give me a power that will suffice,” Aica chanted.
“Once, twice and thrice, to an overwhelming size,” Aica chanted.
“Open my eyes, and it will arise,” Aica chanted.
The ground started to shake.
《Ice Wall》
A wall of ice appeared near the entrance of the cave.
That means the other two Goblin Kings are already coming out. We need to end this fast. Zenith thought.
“The damage is enough, my son. I think I’ll be able to finish him off,” Toya said.
“Heed my decision, and my mighty vision,” Toya chanted.
“Fulfill my mission from a great conduction,” Toya chanted.
《Sword Ignition》
Toya s***h the Goblin King's guts and stab it. Fire came out of the back of the Goblin King and finally, it was knocked down.
So my father really used magic together with a sword. But I think what I’m doing is great. This is my pride, no magic attack from a swordsman. Zenith thought.
As the two Goblin Kings destroyed the Ice wall. Toya, Zenith, Aica and Dalton fight them in the same manner as they fought the previous Goblin Kings. The fight was intense but in the end, they won. They all fall down on their feet after defeating the two Goblin Kings, the villagers that the thing that could do was watch, approach them and give them aid.
The whole village praised Zenith on what he had done for the village. Zenith ended up too exhausted and was transferred to his room to rest.
“You did great, son. I’m very proud of you. If you didn’t ask your mother to delay the two Goblin Kings, we’ll be defeated for sure. We’re just a match to two Goblin Kings but for now, rest well since we will be having a celebration tomorrow,” Toya said.
Zenith decided to sleep since he’s too exhausted.
Screams wake Zenith up. It was from Taiya.
Zenith immediately went out of her room and he saw Taiya lying on the ground with Toya and Aica.
Zenith fell to his feet as he saw four Goblin Kings inside their house. Magic Circle started to be drawn on where Zenith is sitting down.
“Noooo!” Zenith exclaimed.
What the hell was that? Zenith thought.
“Zenith, why are you still there? Let’s have our breakfast already,” Aica said.
Zenith went to the dining table and sat on one of the chairs.
Seeing my family slaughtered like that. What should I do? There’s a total of seven Goblin Kings but Mom and Dad were able to hold off the village for two days. Why did the four Goblin Kings appear? Zenith thought.
A man opens the door and joins them.
