As soon as I arrived in New York, the busy streets reminded me of the fact that the day after Christmas was a colossal day for retailers. Almost every shop was on sale, inviting massive throngs of shoppers.
One thing about the day after Christmas was that although the shops could be swarmed with excited buyers, the streets themselves would be fairly quiet compared to the regular bustling days when everyone was rushing around. So traffic wasn’t that slow, plus my cab driver was pretty good. His driving was well suited to getting around as quickly as possible.
I glanced at my watch. It was already 8:10 PM. I just had less than an hour.
I could already see the humble gallery, and as soon as the cab stopped, I hurriedly handed over my fare and jumped out. There was no time to waste
