When I reached the outside of the dorm Hayden was standing at his truck looking over the campus because the view was spectacular where we lived. I liked coming out at night lying on the grass and looking at the stars, it was also so quite making you forget about everything.
I walked closer to him, and he turned around smiling at me. He was really beautiful his smile making him more attractive than a person can ever imagine. I wonder how my life would have been like if I never decided to be miserable all the time, would I be like Hayden smiling the whole time or does he also get those days where the world just gets too much for him, and he doesn't even want to smile. I can only imagine that, but by the looks of it, he doesn't get those days.
"You look pretty even better than this morning. I liked your pink bunny pajamas, but clothes suit you more."
"Ha-ha funny. You can be glad I had clothes on I could have confronted you naked what then? Yeah, just think about that."
"So what happened to those feelings you confronted me with earlier? Have you figured them out yet?" He started laughing because he thought it was silly of me to confront him about something like that.
"Yeah, I figured them out, I was only hungry, and that's why I got them." We both started laughing, I think deep down he knows the truth.
"I like it when you give me sarcastic answers." Was he okay? Guys don't usually like it when I do that.
We got in the car and started talking about everything. He asked about me, and we talked like we knew each other like forever. He can keep a conversation up longer than someone can keep their breath, then you got to know how intelligent this guy is.
The drive from the campus was long, and I still, hadn't figured it out where we were, at least, this time I know he wasn't taking me somewhere to kill me because I know him a little better now.
"We are almost there Dawn. Trust me, I know you are going to like this."
"I do hope so."
"We are not eating burgers, this time; I can promise you that."
"I like burgers, I just don't want to eat sushi, otherwise I will have to drive home alone because I am going to kill you with my bare hands and bury you in the woods. Trust me; no one is going to find you at all."
"You scare me sometimes Dawn. Don't worry, we won't be eating sushi because I don't like it either."
"Good to know Mr. Hayden, good to know."
We finally arrived at a river where he parked the truck. The view was amazing, even better than the one on campus. He told me to close my eyes again, I don't know why, but I will do it.
I felt him moving in the back, making the whole truck shake, I wonder what he was doing, there has got to be one big surprise. He knocked on the back window, and I took it as my signal to open my eyes and got out.
When I looked at the back of the truck, a blanket was laid out with candles and heaps of food it looked so beautiful, and the food looked so delicious. How does he get it right to think of just the right things to charm a girl?
He held out his hand and helped me onto the truck, I sat down next to him and looked out onto the river, and this was probably one of the greatest dates. Something I would remember for the rest of my life.
"This is breathtaking, thank you."
"Your welcome I am just trying to impress you." Well, if only he knew it didn't take that much to impress me.
"I know I promised I won't fall in love with you, but I think sometimes promises are meant to be broken."
"No, they aren't supposed to be broken. They are intended to be kept no matter how long."
All of a sudden it started raining and we were soaking wet. We got off from the truck and tried to make our way in the front not wanting to get wet.
As we sat in the truck we started laughing, I knew it was going to rain I just wasn't sure when. Hayden took my face in his hands and kissed me, my heart wanted to protest, but I didn't I kissed him back.
It felt great to be wanted again; it felt great to be wanted by him.
