Chapter Ten Slashed had been a kind word. Someone had destroyed her car tyres – all of them. ‘I’m so sorry. I thought if I got everything sorted in the bakery, I could come and visit you later.’ Isla had come out of her shop after hearing all the commotion. ‘I didn’t see anyone by your car but,’ she sighed, ‘I was in the back, baking.
