Maya comes back fifty minutes later with a reference text, four pages of her own notes written in her cramped urgent handwriting, and the expression of someone who pulled a thread and found an entire structure unraveling on the other end of it.
She closes the classroom door behind her and checks the corridor through the glass panel then locks it.
