Epilogue
One week later
My first day of my apprenticeship felt just as nerve-wracking as when I arrived at the Sanctuary for the first time. I'd never have thought that I'd be eligible for a vet program like this, especially after failing my entrance exam and turning to zoology. And yet, here I was. Ready to put my skills and knowledge to the test.
Instead of going to the unicorn habitat like usual, I made my way to the building attached to the quarantine bay. That was where Jacob always started his day and now that I was his apprentice, that was where I was going too.
I swiped my ID at the gate and let the badge snap back against my chest. The change in routine was a little unsettling and I didn't really know any of the nurses or veterinary staff, but it couldn't be worse than working
