Exhausted from a long day doing all the work at the unicorn enclosure, I returned to the dorms with an aching back and tensed muscles. I was in desperate need of a hot shower and some food to refuel all the energy I'd used.
I arrived at the dorm and took the elevator up to the intern floor. We were all on different schedules so the living area was mostly abandoned, apart from a rather pathetic figure sitting at the island.
I paused opposite Felicity, unsure whether to strike up a conversation or not. I didn't really care about her but that didn't mean I enjoyed watching her suffer.
"Hey," I said eventually.
She looked up from her tablet, her long blonde hair cascading down her face instead of tied up. "Hi."
"How are you feeling?"
