Chapter 20:
The flashlight beams swept across the cave walls.
“They’re here!”
“Search every corner!”
Victor’s men spread out, their boots crunching over loose rocks.
Emily instinctively pressed herself against the wall, one hand gripping the flash drive hidden inside her jacket.
Her heart hammered against her ribs.
If Victor got the drive…
Everything her father had died to protect would be lost.

Zach looked around quickly.
“There.”
Emily followed his gaze.
A narrow crack in the rock wall.
Barely wide enough for one person.
“It’s too small.”
“We’ll make it work.”
Without another word, Zach squeezed through first, forcing the rocks apart with his shoulders.
Emily followed.
Behind them…
One of the gunmen shouted,
“I found them!”
Gunfire exploded through the cave.
