Chapter Eleven The phone’s quiet at the museum; her private line hasn’t jangled in days. No calls, not from Jordan, or Diva. Allegro probably doesn’t know her number. No, of course, he wouldn’t know her number. Lana’s busy with a new show, 1950’s retro stuff, kind of fun, but exhausting. She works the long hours for two days, and goes home to Armando to play housewife, something she doesn’t do very well. Her cooking stinks in her opinion, but she makes her specialty—chili and a tossed salad. Armando’s pleased. The following night he makes authentic Mexican tacos and she’s in heaven.
