I opened the letter carefully, taking the time to read every word that was written on the page. It read,
My Dearest Damien,
I am sorry to leave a letter like this but I know that if I said what I am about to write to your face, you would never let me leave. The truth is, I no longer know what I want anymore. I fell lost and broken on the inside.
I didn’t know what to expect from this when I first met you. I never thought I would fall in love with you as deeply as I did. I have tried my best to overcome the obstacles that my new reality has driven my way, but, knowing what you did and that you knew I was yours has been one of those obstacles that I just can’t face. The pain that has come with this is just too much to bare.
