Chapter thirty one. Evelyn's POV. As Olivia ranted on, she didn't notice the police officers sneaking up behind her. I caught her attention with a mischievous smile, gesturing for her to turn around. Her eyes widened as she took in the scene, and she flinched when she saw the officers. The officers swiftly handcuffed her, announcing, "You're under arrest for being an accomplice to attempted murder." Olivia's eyes darted to me, her face contorted in shock and anger. "Evelyn, you did—" she began, but her voice trailed off as I smiled smugly. "Yes, I pressed the charges," I said, my voice calm and collected. Olivia's face turned red with rage as she snarled, "You betrayed me!" She lunged forward, trying to reach me, but the officers pulled her back. I stared at her, my smile unwavering.
