Chapter thirty five. Evelyn's POV. I couldn't believe what Alex had said. If my dad had pressed charges against his family for money laundering and drugs, it meant they were guilty. I couldn't defend someone who had committed such crimes. That would make me no better than Ethan and Olivia. Moreover, my dad had brought the charges, and Alex was expecting me to call him a liar.
