Chapter thirty seven. Evelyn's POV. "Did I say something wrong?" I asked, noticing her sudden change in expression. She shook her head, still frowning, and dropped the napkin she was holding. "What do you want from his room?" she asked, her tone guarded. I hesitated, rubbing the back of my neck. "Nothing," I lied, but she clearly didn't believe me. She stared at me knowingly but didn't press the issue. "You can access most rooms, but the boss's room is off-limits," she said. "Why?" I asked, feeling a surge of frustration.
