Evelyn's POV.
It was party day, and I watched as the decorations went up. Olivia had been working hard to get everything ready.
The CCTV footage confirmed Olivia's partner needed cash to pay some bills, and since their account was frozen, she decided to host this party to get money.
And Ethan, foolishly, helped her.
I wondered how Ethan never asked her how she spends her money, but then again, I shouldn't expect anything else from thieves like them.
As the guests arrived, Olivia stood at the entrance, smiling and welcoming everyone. But when she saw Alex, she paused, her eyes darting back and forth between us. I quickly walked over to her, smiling.
