Once the front desk employees were back, Zeenia was free to go about her usual business. Granted it was the time of mid-afternoon, this meant she could go on a break for a few minutes before tackling the Friday phone calls waiting in her office. She stopped by the cafe and bought a small snack before meandering into the staff-only section of the hotel, past it into the tiny courtyard full of pigeons and overgrown greenery. And there she saw Henry, who sat on the cobblestone, throwing pieces of bread to the pigeons and looking like he was dying. His back slumped forward and his hand fell limp after every throw.
